Ron Blake was born in Fort Wayne Indiana and graduated from Northrop high school. He is a
graduate of Olivet Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. In 2001 his alma
mater conferred upon him an honorary doctoral degree. He met his wife Susanne White while
in college and they were married in 1980. They have one son, Bennett a 2008 graduate of ONU
and he works and lives in Chicago.

He has pastored in Texas, Indiana, and Michigan.

Dr. Blake was appointed the Director of Clergy Development at the Global Ministry Center in
2000 where he was responsible for the Preachers Magazine, the Course of
Study for the denomination, and church growth strategies. He oversaw the Evangelists
and chaplains, and tracked the continuing education for all clergy in the United States and
Canada.

Dr. Blake was elected District Superintendent of the Indianapolis District in August 2011. He retired in June of 2022. His goals in retirement are to preach, read, travel with his wife Susanne, play pickleball and spend time interacting with church leaders.

He was named the interim District Superintendent in Wisconsin in September 2022
