After spending some time reflecting on the past year, I am amazed at all that takes place in a given year.  There are highlights and a few bumps, a little heartache and some victories as well.  Change that seemed overwhelming a few months ago has now become a part of the routine. One journal entry had me wondering what I would think of the possibility that I faced when looking back on it a year from now?  Well, it is nearly a year later, and in reality, it was not that big of a deal.  I said goodbye to some great friends who fought the good fight.  I made a few new friends as well.  I brought pastoral candidates to church boards and congregations.  Many successful pastoral reviews were conducted.  Two churches were closed, and a couple started. Pastors came, and some pastors followed the Lord’s leading to new places.  Some folks were upset, and some were glad this year.  I experienced victories as well as a saying few “dumb” things for which I take responsibility.  The vast majority of people were gracious and kind, and I am grateful.

What changes would you like to see in the new year?  As I have advised before all change begins with small steps taken daily.  Want big change?  Start small and be consistent. A new year is a clean slate a redo; a fresh start let us seize it and move forward.  I wish for you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year.  God bless you!
